Joan Marie Faltersack passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at her home in Fargo, ND.

Joan Marie Sampson was born on May 21, 1946, to Gertrude (Larson) and Redwin Sampson. Joan was born in Sharon, ND, and Joan's family moved to rural Callaway, MN in 1947 where she grew up. She received her education in rural Richwood, MN and graduated from the Detroit Lakes High School in 1964. In high school, Joan's first job was at a lumber yard and teaching Sunday School. On October 10, 1964, Joan married Thomas Faltersack. Then Joan moved on to work her dream job being a self-owned cleaning business. Joan was considered a caring soul with a smile. Joan enjoyed cleaning, watching her favorite hallmark channel, scary movies, lifetime shows, shopping, and gardening. Joan made her family a top priority when it came to her husband, sons, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by the people she greatly impacted.

Joan is survived by her husband Tom Faltersack; eleven grandkids; five great-grandkids; her three sons, David Faltersack (Tracey), Paul Faltersack (Dalane), Jeff Faltersack; daughter-in-law, Cathy Faltersack; brothers, Richard Sampson; Garman (Marlyne) Sampson; sister, Maggie (Leroy) Lindsay; and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Redwin; her son, Tom Faltersack; brother, Rance Paul; brother, Kenneth; sister, Betty; twin sisters, Bernice and Ruth; daughter-in-law, Dana Faltersack; and grandson, Tanner Faltersack.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, in Fargo, ND. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
