Beverly Nelson, 80, of Detroit Lakes (formerly of Fargo) passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 after a short illness.

Bev was born in Fargo, North Dakota to Wallace and Olga (Paulson) Nelson on June 3, 1938. She was raised in Fargo by her mom after her father died suddenly when Bev was four years old. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1956, then graduated from UND with a bachelor’s degree in Radio/Television/Journalism. She lived in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Billings, and Fargo working as an advertising copywriter. She retired in 1992 to live at her favorite spot - her cottage on Pelican Lake in the Detroit Lakes area.

Bev was a flamboyant dresser to say the least - over her lifetime, she loved her many dogs, who were her best friends.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by cousins and friends.
