Ann Whitehead died peacefully on March 15, 2019 in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 86.

Ann Whitehead is survived by her children, Allen (Mary) Whitehead, Huntsville, UT, Klaus Whitehead, Washington, DC, Erika (Robert) Hageman, Fargo, ND, Vincent Whitehead, Helena, MT, Barbara (Kevin) Sellheim, Sleepy Eye, MN and Anita (Darin) Fossum, Mission Viejo, CA, brother, Alois (Frieda) Brandl, Germany, 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roger Whitehead, sons: Jeffrey, Donald, Burton and William Whitehead, and sister: Mary Brandl.

Ann was born on April 6, 1932 in Wemding, Germany to Gottlieb and Barbara Brandl. She met her husband, Roger, while he was serving in the US Army and stationed in Germany. She immigrated to the United States in 1959. She enjoyed baking and her large family. Ann also partook in deer hunting with her husband and friends. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Maple View Memory Care, Bethany Nursing Home, Sanford Hospital, and a very special thank you to the nurses at Sanford Palliative Care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to an Alzheimer’s foundation would be appreciated.
